ITB Berlin is the world's leading travel trade show, organised annually in Berlin. Every year in March, EuroVelo joins ITB and speaks at events, conferences, and panel discussions.

In 2025, the EuroVelo team at the European Cyclists' Federation is back at ITB Berlin, coordinating a session about cycling tourism together with Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (ADFC). Here is more information about the session, taking place on the Green Stage (Hall 3.1b) on 5 March, from 15:55 to 16:45.


The success of cycling tourism: economic impact and multimodality

Cycling tourism has been on the rise for many years, and recent data proves it! For this session, the top European and German experts on cycling tourism – European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) and Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (ADFC) – join forces to deliver the best knowledge and inspiration for the industry. Expect lots of fresh figures on economic impact, behaviours, cycling tour operators and EuroVelo route usage. We believe cycling tourism has a lot of potential to grow even more, and we will show you how the bike + train combination is a sustainable opportunity for the tourism industry.
